"masks, myths and monsters"

in this hands-on practical workshop, meet the whistling monster of Brazil and a boy called Kanassa … hear how the birds of paradise come to his rescue even when he is in the greatest danger – enjoy the magic of the amazonian rainforest and explore lots of simple ways to make fantastic masks and then use them in a creative re-telling of our story

we have run this as direct delivery children's creative workshops; staff training for creative mask-making; and as parent/carer outreach workshops* - we adapt it to fit your needs and of course, we can easily change the theme!

"masks, myths and monsters" works well as a 2-hour session and participants usually end up with 3 very different masks and a whole heap of ideas about how to use them!

* we ran this workshop in a mansfield school and discovered that parents, carers, grandparents that school staff had never seen before, came through the school gates to enjoy a hands-on creative session - we have since run 6 more days at the school and reached over 200 people!
