"many children, one world"

this is a highly successful multi-cultural dance project aimed at 4-7 year olds (foundation and key stage one)

children enjoy a weekly creative dance session with a professional dance artist exploring the miq'mak creation stories of native north america - each group creates one part of the story - with a strong emphasis on experiencing the authentic creative learning process, children also create props, simple masks, handmade instruments and puppets - we also love to excite and enthuse existing staff with fresh ideas for dance and creativity that will continue after the life of the project - this is really important to us!

in the final week, a special celebratory day of day is put on for and by all the children with professional workshops in african, brazilian, chinese ribbon, and european folk dance

after a lovely relaxed picnic lunch, the children create an informal circular space and each group shares their part of the miq'mak stories as the whole thing comes together beautifully!!

please call us if you would like more information or have your own idea that we can help with
