"There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children"

Nelson Mandela, 1995

big toes little toes is very proud to provide lovely evidence-based and not-for-profit resources for Reflective Functioning and attachment play interventions for practitioners working on the frontline with families.  We have also created acclaimed evidence-based programmes for parents/carers, babies, toddlers, children and teens; "baby bonding", "heart-to-heart" and "Parent-Child Attachment Play".  Following the retirement of our founder and programme author, we are delighted that the practitioner trainings for these programmes are now delivered in the UK by our partner Clear Sky Children's Charity (please click here for more information) and on the island of Ireland by our partner big toes little toes Ireland (please click here for more information)

Strengthening parent-child relationships remains a critical task to ensure the best possible outcomes for the littlest in our society.  Research shows that up to 40% of children suffer compromised attachment relationships in early life linked to poor lifetime outcomes across a number of domains.  big toes little toes takes the very latest empirical research and evidence on attachment and translates new findings into effective, accessible and enjoyable practical applications for practitioners and families.

We aspire to help create a kinder society which celebrates parents and carers.  We want help for families to be normal and highly respectful.  After all, parents and carers have one of the most important jobs of all - raising happy and successful 21st century children.  This is no easy task!

We develop and provide lovely creative resources to support practitioners and publish books and e-books.  We have over 30 years' experience in proven relational interventions and research and are delighted to have supported life-changing work in the UK, Island of Ireland, Thailand, Kenya, the Philippines, India, Hong Kong, and South Africa over the years.
